Hawkins Construction is pleased to announce the appointment of Gary Walker as Auckland Regional Manager, effective immediately.
Gary joined Hawkins to lead the pre-construction team in August 2009. When this business unit became part of the Auckland regional structure in 2011 Gary moved to a broader role as Manager - Strategic Projects.
Dan Ashby, Executive General Manager, Hawkins Construction says that Gary has been a key member of the regional team and made a strong contribution to major projects across the national business.
”Gary worked in a wide range of senior construction and design-related roles worldwide. He has significant experience in the leadership of multidisciplinary design teams, multiple stakeholder environments and the management of large construction teams. His experience on large-scale developments from inception to completion using varied forms of procurement contracts and joint venture arrangements have been, and will continue to be, invaluable for Hawkins in the future”, says Dan.
Hawkins Construction also confirms the appointment of Steve Ritchie as Auckland Regional Operations Manager. Following many years with Hawkins as a Project Manager and then Construction Manager, Steve was briefly appointed as Regional Construction Manager in September 2011, prior to temporarily moving to Victoria to be part of the Construction Management team for the Ararat prison.
