The Aotea Café Box Office was a high end interior fitout delivered by Hawkins Interiors in conjunction with the Aotea Square and car park redevelopment undertaken by Hawkins’ Construction division.

The finish is a stunning visual appearance designed by Architectus who worked closely with Hawkins Interiors to ensure a high end quality finish.

The project included a new main entrance to the Aotea Centre Café Box Office and seating area. This consisted of a frameless glass façade with bi-folding doors, Decotect™ ceiling panelling, powder coated aluminium lineal fins, Corian® joinery with LED back lighting, and large coloured back-glass walls.

The operational café and ticket box office included a dummy waiter to the kitchen below, marble tiles with under floor heating, and a high end audio visual system with plasma displays and feature artichoke lighting.

The project was completed in a tight time frame of nine weeks under the offices of the Auckland City Council.

All the project completion milestones were met allowing The Edge™ to receive the facilities on time and open for the spring events season.
